The Laemmle NoHo 7 Theatre opened on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the newly revitalized North Hollywood Arts district. The venue features stadium-style auditoriums, comfortable rocker seats with extra leg room, state-of-the-art digital projection and wall-to-wall screens.  Also, a first for Laemmle Theatres, the box office is inside the lobby so patrons can order tickets in comfort, protected from the elements. The METRO Red Line brings you within two blocks of the NoHo 7 and with dozens of dining options within walking distance, it’s a great destination for dinner and a movie! If you haven’t been to North Hollywood lately, it’s worth the trip.

DOGS: No, unfortunately dogs are not allowed inside the theater. Service dogs being an exception, of course.

TIME: Doors 7, Trivia Raffle 7:30, Movie 7:40

ENTRANCE: Through the main entry doors on Lankershim Blvd.

SEATING/CHAIRS: It’s an indoor movie theater. You will sit in comfy seats. Pillows and blankets are optional 😉

PARKING: Parking structure is located at 11144 Weddington St. next to the Art Institute. NOTE: THE LOT IS ALSO LABELED “5250 PARKING”). With a Laemmle validation, parking is $2 for 3.5 hours and $1.25 ea. 15 minutes thereafter.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: METRO Red Line Station: North Hollywood. METRO Bus: 152, 154, 156, 183, 224.

DIRECTIONS: The theater is located on Lankershim Blvd. between Magnolia and Chandler. From the 101 Freeway (heading North), the the Tujunga exit. Make a right on Tujunga to Magnolia blvd. Make a right on Magnolia and then left on Lankershim. Theatre will be on your right. From the 134 Freeway (heading West) take the Lankershim exit and turn right (North). Theatre will be just past Magnolia on right side of the street.

A brilliant L.A. cop (Al Pacino) follows the trail from a deadly armed robbery and becomes fixated on a deadly but equally brilliant master thief (Robert DeNiro) and his crew (Val Kilmer and Jon Voight) who are taking Los Angeles to the cleaners, Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman also co-star. Heat also includes one of the most spectacular shoot-outs in film history as DeNiro and Kilmer rip through downtown Los Angeles with guns blazing.

Robert L. Pike’s crime novel Mute Witness makes the transition to the big screen in this film from director Peter Yates. In one of his most famous roles, Steve McQueen stars as tough-guy police detective Frank Bullitt. The story begins with Bullitt assigned to a seemingly routine detail, protecting Mafia informant Johnny Ross (Pat Renella), who is scheduled to testify against his Mob cronies before a Senate subcommittee in San Francisco. But when a pair of hit men ambush their secret location, fatally wounding Ross, things don’t add up for Bullitt, so he decides to investigate the case on his own. Unfortunately for him, ambitious senator Walter Chalmers (Robert Vaughn), the head of the aforementioned subcommittee, wants to shut his investigation down, hindering Bullitt’s plan to not only bring the killers to justice but discover who leaked the location of the hideout.
