NON-PROFIT PARTNERS

Best Friends Animal Society – Los Angeles & NKLA

As long-time supporters of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Eat|See|Hear was thrilled when they opened the Best Friends Animal Society – Los Angeles Mission Hills Adoption Center in 2012. Shortly thereafter the NKLA (No Kill Los Angeles) initiative was launched, bringing together a coalition of animal welfare organizations to end the killing of pets in LA city shelters by the year 2017 with the goal to #SaveThemAll.

We are extremely proud of the partnership that we have formed with BFAS-LA over the years in support of NKLA. Utilizing Eat|See|Hear as a platform to educate our patrons about the many ways BFAS-LA is working to grow the number of animal adoptions as well as introducing Angeleno’s to a variety of local rescue groups (NKLA Coalition partners) for adoptions, fostering and donations. Each year we’ve held an annual “supply drive” for the animals, collecting much needed materials and supplies while at the same time continuing to promote the NKLA initiative.

Lastly, in addition to all of the aforementioned support, Eat|See|Hear donates a percentage of ticket sales every year in support of NKLA. To date, we have donated nearly $30,000 and will continue to support this great organization. In 2016, we will be hosting NKLA coalition partners at every Eat|See|Hear event where you’ll be able to meet adoptable animals and sign up to be a foster or volunteer. Below is a photo of Cal, who was adopted after meeting his new family at Eat|See|Hear! Together, we can Save Them All.

Los Angeles Youth Network

The Los Angeles Youth Network’s mission is to empower abused, neglected and homeless adolescents to become self-sufficient. They do this by providing street outreach, food, emergency shelter, a transitional living program, and educational enrichment programs in a safe and nurturing environment. At nearly every Eat|See|Hear event you will see hand painted trash cans meant for recycling cans, glass and plastic bottles that can be redeemed for cash. A volunteer by the name of Chris tirelessly collects all of these bottles and cans each week and the money he collects goes directly to the Los Angeles Youth Network. When you see these cans around our venues, please use them and know that they were painted by kids who receive services from LAYN and your contribution will be helping the kids, too.

Hoover High School Tornados Wrestling Team (Glendale)

Over the past few years, we’ve welcomed a local high school wrestling team, the Hoover Tornados, to Eat|See|Hear. Several times during the year the team and their coach sell movie candy snacks and raffle tickets to help them raise funds so that they can participate in competitions. The team has been improving their rankings in recent years and their fundraising efforts have allowed them to attend local, regional and state level events. This year, their efforts and achievements received notice from our city’s paper of record, the Los Angeles Times.
