Stand By Me 30th Anniversary Screening
June 2, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
If I could only have one food to eat for the rest of my life?
That’s easy. Pez. Cherry flavor Pez. No question about it.
After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go search for the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chambers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a world of adventures, and camp out in the wilderness. They also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the journey evolves into a defining event in their lives.
The South Bay Film & Music Festival is pleased to present the 30th Anniversary screening of this classic favorite, based on an original short story by Stephen King (The Body).
