Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Damien Chazelle, LA LA LAND tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

MUSICAL GUEST: Lauren Ruth Ward
Lauren Ruth Ward’s music has spread like wildfire these past two years in LA after leaving her hometown of Baltimore. Her lyrics are secrets to strangers, writing about her life’s trajectory sharing both vulnerability and strength delivered with grit and vibrato. Her band re-creates 60’s rock and roll nuances, allowing Ward to release a powerhouse of raw, visceral emotion in their live show.

PRO TIP: This is a very large, concrete venue, with some grassy areas on the perimeter – the early bird gets the worm! You’ll want to bring pillows, cushions, blankets and low chairs for this venue.

SEATING/CHAIRS: This location is concrete with some grassy areas. Pillows, cushions and blankets are preferred, though low chairs are allowed, but please don’t block the view of the person behind you. Tall, lawn chairs or camping-style chairs over 6 inches off the ground will be required to sit on the left and right side of the venue, which will be clearly marked with signs. There is ample room for chairs, so please don’t block others view.

METRO/PUBLIC TRANSPORT: You can also take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station.

Take the 101 S to the 134 E and take the Fair Oaks exit. Turn Right onto Fair Oaks & Left onto Holly St.
